Today at Woodmont, we are giving away small bags containing the elements for Communion. As families and individuals experience and reflect on Communion in their homes, they are invited to record some of their thoughts on this site.
We have been studying Revelations in our Sunday School class and when I read "For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes," I realized what a real and amazing statement that was. The apostles, and maybe us, will be able to celebrate the victory of good over evil, of mercy over pride, of love over hate, of eternity over death. And, like at the Cana wedding, I expect Jesus will be serving the best wine. Thanks Jon for this time to really contemplate what Jesus did for us and the amazing bounty of that Last Supper.
